Most of what we feature, nobody paid for. Some of it is paid, and we always say so. Here is how both work.

The short version

Most of what we feature, nobody paid for. We find it, we check it, we post it. If you would like to be considered, write to us and we will genuinely look.

We also do paid work, and we are upfront about it. Anything paid is labelled as paid, every time, with no exceptions and no softer word for it.

Being considered, free

Send us your label. The things that make us pay attention:

• A product page that says what the thing is made of, what is in the set, and what happens if it does not fit.
• Something we have not already seen on ten other pages.
• You actually ship, and you say in how long.
• Homegrown and small is a point in your favour, not against you.

What we cannot promise is a yes, or a date. We cover what fits what we are working on that month, and we turn down far more than we feature. A no is not a judgment on your product.

Paid work

We offer a small number of formats. Broadly: a spot in a round-up alongside four other labels, a reel or carousel built entirely around your brand, stories, and ad rights if you want to run our reel as a paid advertisement.

Where a format involves us wearing or using the product, we choose the pieces. That is not us being difficult — it is the only way the result looks like us, which is what you are paying for.

What paid does not buy

• Script approval. You will see the piece before it goes up and can correct anything factually wrong. You cannot rewrite our opinion.
• A claim we have not checked. If the page does not support it, we will not say it.
• Removal of the paid label.
• Exclusivity over a category, unless we have agreed that in writing.

Gifted product

We do accept product sent for consideration. It does not buy a feature, and we will say when something was gifted. If we do not like it, the honest outcome is usually that we say nothing at all rather than write something unkind about a small business.

Please email before you send anything. It saves a parcel going out for something we have already covered, and it means we know to expect it.

Pieces sent for consideration are not returned unless we have agreed that beforehand, so do not send anything you need back.
