Who paid for what, and what paying does not get you.
This page exists so you never have to wonder whether we were paid for something. The answer is always here.
How things get on this page
| Editorial | We found it, we checked it, nobody paid us and nobody sent it to us. This is most of what we publish, and it carries no label because it is the default. |

A paid piece is never dressed up as an editorial one. If we took money, it says so on the post, not only on this page.
What money does not buy
Brands do not get script approval, and they do not get to change an opinion. They can correct a fact — a price, a fabric, a delivery window — and we want them to. They cannot ask us to drop an inconvenient detail, and if that detail is the reason we would not buy it ourselves, it stays in.
We also will not take money to say something we have not checked. If a brand's own page does not support a claim, we will not make it on their behalf.
Affiliate links
At the time of writing, we earn nothing when you click a link or buy something. Every link on this site goes straight to the brand.
If that ever changes, affiliate links will be marked as such where they appear, and this page will say so and carry the date it changed. We will not start quietly.
Prices, stock and details
We record prices and details on the day we check them, and we say when we checked. Prices move, sizes sell out, and brands change what is in a set without telling anybody. Always confirm on the brand's own page before you pay.
We are not the seller. We do not take your order, hold your money, ship anything, or process returns. If something goes wrong with a purchase, it sits between you and the brand — though if a brand treats a reader badly we would very much like to hear about it.
Opinions, not expertise
We write about beauty, clothes, food and places in Bombay as two people who have tried a lot of them. Nothing here is medical, dermatological, legal or financial advice. Skin is personal — patch test, and see an actual doctor for an actual problem.
Other people's pictures and words
Product images belong to the brands. Where we use them, it is to show you what we are talking about, with credit. If you own something here and would rather we did not use it, email us and we will take it down.
